While I was at DragonCon I was allowed to record several of the panels. Luckily, the Podcasting Track recorded everything anyway. So for the next little while I’ll be putting up the audio from the panels I think are useful to writing, podcasting your work, etc.

It’s going to take me a while to get to the recordings from the other panels because they will have to possibly be edited then approved by the people on the panels. But there some good stuff about urban fantasy and writing with some awesome authors.

This first panel I’m putting up is Podcasting for Promotion. It is one of the panels that I was on. Here’s the description:

I had a really great day! I had planned to do a podcast (which I plan on actually doing tomorrow) but I saved it by recording on two podcasts! Today was my first Interview of me!! You can hear it in this episode. I’m also linking to the first episode of the new show I am apparently a co-host of now. The show is called “Shooting the Bull” So feel free to head over and take a listen.

I will warn you…this podcast episode has some small NWS content but it’s not that bad. If you are unhappy with alternative life-styles, don’t listen to the second half.

Hey gang! I want to give you a heads up on what’s in the can and soon to be up. I recorded an interview on Wednesday night with author and podcaster, Chris Lester of Metamor City. We talk about alot of really neat stuff including how podcasting your fiction is becoming so popular.

On Friday morning, I got a chance to get Rachel Vincent on the line and we did an interview about her books and writing process. I’m sure you’ll enjoy listening to our converstation.

Why didn’t someone tell me??

Oh my gosh guys. I had no idea that some of the files sounded like I was a chipmunk or that some of them cut off after a few mins. I wish someone would have written to tell me. It’s ok…they are fixed. I realize that Episode 3 – Critter Comments 2 is in it’s raw form and I may leave it that way but I’m not sure yet.

However, all the files now link to my own server so that problem is no longer an issue. If you need to redownload them simply scroll down and click on the episodes to get the full and clean sounding audio.

I have a podcast in mind that I will be doing soon about the genre of Urban Fantasy and some good examples of books in that category. I also have an interview lined up with the Editor of MindTweaks and author Heidi Ruby Miller. I appreicate your patience as I’ve been going through the growing pains of learning to podcast. I’ve also gotten the podcast bug and I’m doing 2 others now so forgive me as I bury myself under work.

This is high on my list of things to do along with writing.
