But my loss is your gain! 😉

I was doing some surfing of website, etc and I found a bunch of links I still want to look through that will likely be helpful writing wise. Some author sites, some resource sites, you get the idea. If you are like me…and you are keeping a blog you want to be able to show your progress and up until now I was doing it by bloody hand in plain text.

I knew there were some word count progress meters out there that are graphicly inclined and I’ve attempted to use them a time or two. One decent one (it’s very pretty but for me seems occasionally flaky to load) is zokutou’s Progress Meter. There are a few others out there that I’m sure you can find if you search google for “word count progress meter” but nothing I like. Last night I found one on Author Abode. It too was one you entered information on the site and copied and pasted html. It’s a great one if you don’t have wordpress (which means a widget). However, if you do have WordPress and you want an EASY way to update your progress go and get the widget made by the guy who runs Author Abode! 🙂

There is another wordpress plugin out there that lets you add much more info about your story but I didn’t like the way I had to use it.

I have to run and get to the gym but before I go I also wanted to mention a new helpful tool from Holly Lisle. She’s made an audio program called “How to Beat Writer’s Block“. It looks awesome and when I have some cash and some more time I’m gonna check it out. 🙂
